'Osseo, Son of the Evening Star' is a chamber opera in one act loosely based on an Ojibwe folk-tale, as presented in H.W. Longfellow's "Song of Hiawatha". Commissioned by the University of Minnesota Duluth Opera Scenes program and funded by a UROP grant (Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program), this opera recieved its premiere performance on December 8th, 2017 at Weber Music Hall in Duluth, MN.

This recording features a digitally produced "virtual orchestra", but was carefully engineered to faithfully create a natural and Warm acoustic space for both the singers and the unique instrumentation of Woodwinds, Trumpet, Piano and Mixed Percussion.
