The Funeral 01:55

about

This score for a University of Minnesota Duluth production of 'Antigone' was debuted in Fall of 2017. Created in careful collaboration with the director Jenna Soleo-Shanks and members of the cast and crew, this soundtrack aims to capture the same universality and relevance of Sophocles' timeless tragedy. With an eclectic balance of electronic and orchestral elements, the score paints both the humanity of the characters, namely the familial love between a sister and her brother as well the bold, quasi-futurist aesthetic of this particular production. UMD's Antigone was selected to perform at Region 5 of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival where it received awards for Achievement in Original Musical Composition and Scenic Design.
